Dead of Night

A dead girl. A mysterious stranger. And a small town harboring a dark past and an even darker secret.

When her mother checks herself in to rehab, 16-year-old Carmen Bloom winds up in the remote and unremarkable town of Pinebrook to stay with her Uncle Kurt, a man that she has never even met before. Although Carmen is not at all happy about the sudden forced relocation, she has little choice but to go along with it.

Not long into her stay in Pinebrook, Carmen realizes that the small town is not really the uneventful place that she assumed it to be. Not only does she find herself being stalked by a mysterious boy who seems to be able to disappear and reappear whenever he wants, she discovers a mangled body of a girl from her school lying in the woods. The discovery prompts an investigation into the town’s history, and what Carmen discovers terrifies her.

She learns that there might be a serial killer on the loose in Pinebrook. A serial killer whose means and methods may be supernatural in nature.

Can Carmen get to the bottom of the killings in Pinebrook? Will she discover the killer’s identity? Or will she end up becoming yet another victim? And what does the strange boy have to do with everything that’s going on?
