One day, her life seemed perfectly normal and her biggest concerns were fitting in at school and seeking independence from her overbearing mother. But when she’s suddenly attacked by a man in a mask while walking home from a friend’s house, any sense of normalcy in her life is shattered in the blink of an eye. Although she’s saved from the attacker by the intervention of a random stranger, Judy finds herself unable to even sleep for fear of the man returning for her.

Desperate to get away, Judy travels a thousand miles to stay with her aunt for the summer. But are her fears of the man coming back for her real or imaginary? And if the man truly wants to finish what he started, will fleeing to another city be enough to stop him from getting what he wants?
